Breath! is a lightweight spam filtering solution for POP3-based email clients on Windows systems. It runs as a local service and filters incoming email before delivery to the mail client.
Messages are checked against DNS-based blacklists from Spamhaus and SURBL, and then analysed using SpamAssassin. Suspected spam is marked by modifying the message subject, allowing simple client-side filtering rules.
Breath! includes a system tray application for basic administration and monitoring and was designed for use with POP3 email clients on Windows.
